About the Project
In the context of the current transition towards sustainability of global energy systems and the pursuit of greater decarbonization of emissions associated with energy production, green hydrogen has emerged as an energy vector and industrial input of great interest.
To this end, the Green Hydrogen Center (CH2V) will occupy approximately 3,000 m² of the main campus, where an electrolysis plant, storage tanks, compressors, and a hydrogen vehicle refueling system will be installed. The facility will also include a building of approximately 800 m² for research activities related to green hydrogen.
Thus, CH2V represents the most significant and comprehensive University initiative in the field of hydrogen production and use, enabling the development of energy topics especially relevant to Brazilian conditions, while contributing to the sustainable development of a green hydrogen market in Brazil.
